My life-long passion for art started with a curiosity to observe and critically reflect on my surroundings. Art became a way to think abstractly about the world and to express an intuition for reality that went beyond vision. I devoted much of my early work to developing formal skills to render images, learning to use different media, and developing my personal style. My current work is primarily in fabric media and focuses on the philosophy of perception, which complements my academic interests in linguistics, interpersonal communication, logic, politics, philosophy, and rhetoric.
